6 Spring Beauty Must Have’s
Spring is in the air which means my skin is freaking out. I have very sensitive, FAIR, and acne prone skin. Recently when I went to see my esthetician, she reminded me simple simple simple on my face (cetaphil and witch hazel).
She explained to me that witch hazel is a natural astringent can help control acne by reducing inflammation, decreasing oil and redness. Use a cotton pad or cotton ball with witch hazel and wipe it across your face. This will help get all the left over residue of make up, dirt and bacteria. Comment below if you have ever used #6 on this list, know anything about, or want to use it!
St Tropaz – If I do use self tanner St. Tropaz is my go to..I am the whitest, palest person alive! I don’t use the mit, I just use my hands and go as fast as I can. It does not give an orange tint and the smell if fresh/tropical. St Tropaz also has similar bottle that will turn you darker and another that is used in the shower.
Skin Ceuticals Ferlic C & E – It’s a daytime vitamin C serum that delivers advanced environmental protection and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness, and brightens skin’s complexion. I use this under my makeup, it’s a great protectant and keeps your skin silky smooth during the day. this stuff is expensive, but it’s so worth it.
My Gel Nails & Light (DIY): I bought my own gel light and I do all my own nails at home. I never have time to go to the salon and needed to save money. I love doing my nails at home while listening to a podcast or watching TV. I would suggest going the LED light route and NOT what I have UV light because… UV will speed up the process of aging hands and sunspots. NO thank you.
Kate Sommerville SPF 50: The perfect light spray sunscreen to protect your skin from wrinkles and damage! I am 100% the queen of sunscreen because of my fair skin and fear of sunspots. Whenever I go to the beach I lather on the sunscreen and a big hat. This is the only sunscreen that makes me not feel cake-y and still gives protection.
Daily Microfoliant – I use this either daily or every other day. This is a rice based formula that has Salicylic Acid in it and enzymes that micro-exfoliants the skin leaving it really smooth and bright. I had a LED/hydration facial about 2 years ago and she used this on my skin, I loved it. I have really sensitive acne prone skin, so this gentle, but the products in it leave me feeling clean and not like my skin was ripped off.
Baby QuasarClear Rayz for Acne: I struggle with some acne on scarring on my chin, I also do not like to wear a ton of make up, so I want my skin to be as clear as possible. My esthetician suggested me using LED lights on my face at home for my pigmentation, redness, and preventing aging. She said, “Instead of paying someone to do it consider buying one yourself”. My friend Ariana Travelstead swears by it! “If I have a breakout and I use the blue light, it goes down the morning after. Red light for anti aging and green light for scaring”. If you don’t want to buy the machine check out of my esthetician friend Caitlin for further question on facial and skin care! She is amazing!
